We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Communications and Engagement Officer to join our dynamic Fundraising and Development team at Young Roots. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in amplifying the voices of young refugees, building awareness of our work and impact, and engaging new and diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to promote our work and values.
- Collaborate with our delivery teams and young people to co-create engaging content and campaigns.
- Design and implement digital marketing campaigns to grow our supporter base and unrestricted income.
- Write compelling content for fundraising appeals, policy and campaigns work, and engagement opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including supporters, donors, and partners.
- Work closely with our team to embed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles across all our work.
- Strong admin and coordination skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and formats.
- Proven experience in digital marketing, content creation, and public awareness.
- Passion for working with young people and promoting their voices and perspectives.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to attend youth activities and fundraising events.
