Job Opportunity: Specialty Doctor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialty Doctor to join our team at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a new 14-bedded Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) based in Derby.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the service and building the team, working closely with the Consultant, Ward Manager, and other senior leaders. You will provide clinical leadership and support current and future service developments within the Working Age Adult Acute Directorate.

The PICU will provide intensive treatment and support to patients with mental health conditions, ensuring a safe and stable environment for their recovery. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to create an environment that acknowledges and respects the cultures, life experiences, and strengths of our service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide clinical leadership and support to the team
  2. Contribute to the development of the PICU service
  3. Work collaboratively with the MDT to deliver high-quality care
  4. Support the Consultant and Ward Manager in service developments
