Position Summary
The Maintenance Operator will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, playing a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing operations. This position focuses on the upkeep of equipment and executing planned preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety protocols.
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs during equipment breakdowns.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Collaborate with various departments to prioritize production needs.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a full-time apprenticeship program.
  • Essential qualifications include BTEC National or City & Guilds and HNC.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Multi-skilled with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
  • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
  • Basic knowledge of robotics is advantageous.
  • Electrical experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • General understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Welding experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with permit-to-work systems.
  • Experience in machining, milling, and turning is preferred.
  • Proficient in lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Skills and Competencies
  • Expertise in problem-solving and fault diagnosis.
  • Basic proficiency in PLC programming.
  • Self-driven with a proactive mindset.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the role.
