Job Description

**Role:** Repairs Service Manager

**Contract Type:** Permanent

**Working Hours:** 37 hours per week, usual working hours would be Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. However, we operate within a flexible and agile working arrangement (by agreement) to cover the service 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

**Worker Type:** Hybrid Worker

**Salary:** Grade I - £43,421 - £46,464 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity available for a skilled and experienced Repairs Service Manager to join our team at Nottingham City Council Housing Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the repairs service and ensuring that our residents receive a high-quality service.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead the repairs service and ensure that it is delivered to a high standard
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the service
  • Manage a team of staff and provide guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver the service
  • Work closely with other teams and stakeholders to ensure that the service is integrated with other council services
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the service and identify areas for improvement

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience of leading a repairs service or a similar service
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work closely with other teams and stakeholders
