About the Role

The Recreation Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our customers at the Leisure Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality leisure activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of customers at all times.
  • Participate in the management of daily activities, including wet and dry sites.
  • Provide excellent customer service and facilitate a friendly working relationship with customers.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve centre objectives and usage targets.
  • Identify opportunities to increase centre usage and implement innovative ideas.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and comfort in all facilities.
  • Assist the Duty Manager in controlling and securing the facility, ensuring equipment is stored safely and securely.
  • Monitor and report on Health and Safety issues, implementing procedures to prevent unsafe practices.
  • Cover duties of other staff members as required.
  • Undertake any other duties to support the effective running of the Leisure Centre.
Requirements
  • A good general education and a desire to achieve a leisure management qualification.
  • A current first aid qualification and the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification are desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work additional hours when required.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to develop the role.
