About the Role

The EDF Sizewell C Project is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our Engineering & Technical team. As a key member of the Civil Works Programme, you will be responsible for the technical aspects of the end-to-end design process, managing and coordinating the SZC Client and Responsible Designer inputs and requirements, and ensuring delivery to quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Definition of the design, engineering, and technical requirements;
  • Leadership of the delivery of all CWP design (from requirements definition to acceptance), including management of the Engineering & Technical budget and associated resources and supply chain to deliver the design to the CWP Delivery teams;
  • Integration of constructability requirements and design integration within the Civil Works Programme and with Site Establishment and Offsite Infrastructure;

Requirements

  • 5 years+ experience in a Design Management role within the civils industry;
  • Master's in civil engineering/structural engineering;
  • Experience people leader with excellent communication skills;
  • Extensive technical knowledge and understanding within civils;
  • Previous civils consultancy experience;
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills;
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams would be beneficial, but not essential;
  • Previous experience working on HPC is beneficial but not essential;
