Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor

Black Fox Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to assist in preparing estimates and cost plans for projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and numerical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing estimates and cost plans for projects.
  • Support in the preparation of Bills of Quantities.
  • Assist in valuing compensation events and negotiating variations with contractors.
  • Conduct site measurements and prepare valuations.
  • Assist in issuing certificates for payment and producing financial reports.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Support in the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and quantity surveying practices is desirable.
