We are seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to enhance our dynamic Central Scotland team. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a chance to contribute significantly to our projects.

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Quantity Surveyor with experience in construction contracts, refurbishment, or specialized kitchen and bathroom projects.

Key Duties:

  • Conduct measurement, pricing, and evaluation of tenders
  • Oversee projects from initial stages through to completion
  • Identify opportunities to enhance profit margins
  • Manage costs effectively
  • Create targets and objectives
  • Prepare CVR reports and forecasts
  • Administer and manage subcontractor accounts
  • Prepare and submit payment applications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional qualification (e.g., HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent
  • Experience in construction, retrofit, or fabric upgrades is preferred but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with bills of quantities, schedules of rates, and design and build contracts
  • Proven track record in commercial management and subcontractor procurement
  • Ability to demonstrate strong monthly reporting skills
  • Team-oriented with the capability to work independently
  • Experience with both direct and subcontract labor
  • Excellent time management skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to mentor and support team members
  • Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Excel
