Job Title: UK Tax Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UK Tax Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment. As a key member of our Partners' Affairs and Tax team, you will play a critical role in the management of our client's UK tax affairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Senior UK Tax Manager in the management of UK tax affairs
  • Assist in the delivery of UK tax compliance work, including preparation of partnership tax computations and submission of tax returns
  • Advise the business on UK direct and indirect tax matters, including VAT and corporate tax
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations
  • Collaborate with partners, external tax advisers, and finance teams to ensure effective tax management
Requirements:
  • Experience in the preparation of UK tax computations and submission of tax returns
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with the ability to focus on detail
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to communicate complex tax and accounting issues to non-specialists
  • Knowledge of tax issues affecting professional partnerships
  • ACA/CTA or equivalent professional financial qualification
