An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Vascular and Interventional Radiology Department at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. We are seeking a clinical fellow to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality vascular and interventional radiology care.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Participating in the continuous provision of vascular services, working closely with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Contributing to the multidisciplinary team in the care of vascular inpatients and outpatients, providing expert clinical advice and support.
- Participating in the department's audit and research programme, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes.
- Undertaking regular weekly ward rounds for inpatients, working closely with the consultant and registrar of the week on call team.
- Participating in operating theatre and angiography suite sessions, outpatient clinics, and emergency patient assessments in the accident and emergency department.
- Supervising and teaching junior medical staff and students, providing guidance and support to ensure their development and growth.
- Adhering to the Trust's Infection Prevention and Control Policies, maintaining high standards of infection control and reducing the burden of healthcare-associated infections.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- MRCS or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrable experience of 12 months in vascular surgery at ST3+ or equivalent level.
- Desirable experience of working in vascular surgical specialty in the NHS.
- Ability to formulate a working diagnosis and perform varicose vein procedures.
