Mechanical Engineering Tutor Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to take on the role of Tutor at a reputable training organization. In this position, you will be tasked with educating, guiding, and supporting students who are working towards Level 3 qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in both planned and reactive maintenance, along with hands-on machine operation skills. While experience in process engineering is a plus, it is not a strict requirement.

Prior experience in delivering training sessions and holding an Assessor's Award or a teaching qualification would be beneficial. However, individuals with a strong desire to move into a training capacity, a passion for fostering learning, and substantial experience in the engineering field are encouraged to consider this role. Comprehensive training will be available for the right individual.

This position may involve travel to various training centers within the region, thus a valid UK driving license and personal vehicle access are essential.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineering Tutor:
- Facilitating and managing qualifications at a state-of-the-art training facility
- Guiding learners towards achieving relevant qualifications in accordance with awarding body standards

We are looking for proactive individuals who demonstrate excellent communication abilities and a practical approach to their work.

Essential Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineering Tutor:
- At least 4 years of experience in the Mechanical Engineering field
- Strong verbal and presentation skills
- Experience working with youth or young adults
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Level 3 (or higher) occupational qualification
- Assessor Qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent preferred)
- Teaching qualification (preferred)
- Enhanced DBS clearance is mandatory

Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive starting salary ranging from £37,000 to £39,000, based on experience and qualifications
