About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Shop Manager to join our team at Blue Cross. As a key member of our shop management team, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our shop in Radcliffe, Manchester.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage donations and stock deliveries, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources
  • Organise displays and merchandising, including our new product range, to maximise sales and customer engagement
  • Coordinate stock collections and handle cash with care, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with financial procedures
  • Lead and motivate a team of volunteers, providing training and support to ensure they are equipped to support our cause
  • Work closely with the Shop Manager to shape the shop's local impact, creating a welcoming and engaging space for customers and volunteers
About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a management or supervisory role
  • Cash handling and reconciliation expertise, with a strong understanding of financial procedures
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong computer and administrative skills, with experience of using retail systems and software
