Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled English Language Educator to join our team as a Functional Skills Trainer. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Functional Skills English lessons to adult learners from Entry 3 to Level 1.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Lesson Planning: Develop and deliver lesson plans and teaching materials that cater to the needs of diverse learners, ensuring a high-quality learning experience.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to facilitate improvement.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and progress.
  • Adaptability: Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities as required.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification and a minimum Level 2 qualification in Maths and Level 3 qualification in English.
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching Functional Skills English at Entry 3 and Level 1.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage and motivate adult learners, and flexibility to teach at various locations.
