Pharmacist Role in Primary Care

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Pharmacist to join our team at Danestone Medical Practice, a teaching practice committed to providing excellent clinical care to our patients.

The successful candidate will provide support to our GPs and patient population by undertaking a range of roles, including all aspects of medicines management. This post would suit a Pharmacist with previous experience in Primary Care, but community pharmacy or hospital experience will also be considered.

The ideal candidate will possess sound clinical knowledge, good IT skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. An Independent Prescriber qualification is desirable but not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Pharmacist to increase their clinical responsibility within a forward-thinking and supportive GP Practice. The role may expand to include chronic disease monitoring and patient consultations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to GPs and patient population
  • Undertake all aspects of medicines management
  • Work alongside our GP and Primary Care Pharmacy team
  • Participate in chronic disease monitoring and patient consultations

Requirements:

  • Degree in Pharmacy
  • On the practising register of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Sound clinical knowledge and good IT skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
