Generator Engineer Job Description

We are recruiting a skilled Generator Engineer to join our team at Blue Arrow - Burton on Trent. As a Generator Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of commercial diesel generators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regular servicing of generators to ensure optimal performance
  • Carrying out necessary repairs and proactive spot checking for potential risks/breakages
  • Travelling to customer sites to carry out emergency repairs
  • Liaising with the operations team to order parts and equipment
  • Final safety checks of generators before delivery to customers
  • Supporting the operations team in carrying out other repair/maintenance/cleaning work to ensure delivery schedule is met
Requirements:
  • Live local to the site to easily access the depot and its customers
  • Experience of diagnostics and repairs of commercial diesel generators
  • Experienced in completing regular generator maintenance schedules
  • Ability to install plumbing and electrical fittings
  • Willingness to support the operations team in fabrication and cleaning work in downtime
Desirable:
  • Experience with Stephill, Genquip, or AJC
  • Previous welding experience
