Key Responsibilities:

As a Wastewater Maintenance Specialist in our Water Recycling Services, you will play a crucial role in protecting the environment, public health, and maintaining essential infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include addressing issues within our network such as blockages, odors, flooding, and other incidents. You will provide exceptional service to our customers while complying with environmental regulations.

As part of our standby team, you will be prepared to respond to additional out-of-hours tasks, ensuring continuous service delivery. Safety is a top priority in all aspects of the role, and you will be expected to diligently follow health and safety protocols.

Your Duties Will Include:

  • Operating a high-pressure water jetting unit and specific CCTV equipment, which you will be trained in, to identify and promote repair work for any issues found in our sewerage network.
  • Taking responsibility for investigating and providing first-time resolutions for sewerage problems encountered by our customers.
  • Responding to incidents and completing scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Accurately gathering and documenting all feedback from site visits through our IT systems.
  • Primarily working independently while engaging with both internal and external customers on a daily basis.

What Qualifications Are Required?

  • Experience or willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Basic IT proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently while utilizing your initiative.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • A valid driving license; a 4.5-tonne license would be advantageous as the role may eventually require this (training will be provided if necessary).

In this position, you must be capable of working in confined spaces and at heights without restrictions. Due to harness weight limits, your maximum weight cannot exceed 113 kilograms, and you will be required to complete relevant occupational health assessments, including Hand-arm Vibration (HAV).
