SEN Teacher Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at a special needs school in North London. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting young individuals with autism and learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply positive behaviour support strategies throughout teaching
  • Use a range of motivating resources to engage learners
  • Adapt support style to meet the needs of learners across various ages
  • Contribute to the overall vision and values of the school
Personal Attributes:
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and remain calm under pressure
  • Physical and emotional resilience to work with autistic children/young people who may exhibit challenging behaviour
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Good appreciation of health and safety principles and equal opportunities
