Oracle Financial Systems Analyst

Barts Health NHS Trust, a prominent healthcare provider, is seeking an Oracle Financial Systems Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the integrity of our financial systems and ensuring that all operational processes align with best practices. The successful candidate will work closely with the Systems Manager to maintain up-to-date systems and data integrity across all trusts.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the main liaison for Oracle financial users, addressing, resolving, and escalating issues related to Oracle Core Financials, V1 Scanning, and Qlik Sense, while adhering to established service level agreements.
  • Engaging with users within the consortium and external partners, including Version 1, V1, Qlik, NHS Logistics, GHX, Assmia, and Alemba.

Job Duties

The Oracle Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of financial systems for the finance and procurement teams.
  • Demonstrating extensive knowledge of the Oracle E-Business Suite and system administration functions.
  • Utilizing Qlik Sense for reporting and business intelligence.
  • Managing XML Document Management processes, including the creation and amendment of outputs such as invoices and purchase orders.
  • Monitoring and resolving issues related to document transmission.
  • Supporting V1 archiving processes and maintaining the V1 OCR Scanning Software.
  • Providing online training and developing training materials for finance users.
  • Communicating effectively with users regarding system changes and issues.
  • Continuously seeking service improvements and efficiencies.
  • Maintaining the Oracle multi-org chart of accounts in line with trust guidelines.
  • Resolving complex Oracle issue tickets and assisting in the development of system administration protocols.
  • Managing the full life cycle of assigned Oracle projects.
  • Mentoring support analysts and training level 1 analysts in report writing and interface maintenance.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in Oracle modules and related tools.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and substantial experience in a customer-facing or business environment.
  • ECDL or equivalent certification.

Essential Skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficient analytical skills for problem identification and resolution.
  • Experience in delivering functional training across various levels.
  • Competence in MS Office suite and ECDL.
