About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Fresh Produce Supply Chain and Ordering Team Manager to join our team at Lidl GB. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for leading a team of supply chain officers and consultants, overseeing the ordering and demand planning for fresh produce, and contributing to the development of our supply chain strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of supply chain officers and consultants to ensure smooth stock management of fresh produce
- Oversee the ordering and demand planning process for fresh produce, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our stores
- Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with suppliers and the buying team to ensure effective communication and smooth stock management
- Present data and insights to senior stakeholders to inform business decisions
- Run daily and weekly reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions
- Develop and implement promotions and pricing strategies to drive sales and revenue growth
- Regularly review and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and effective supply chain
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in the fresh produce industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Strong numerical skills and ability to work with data to drive business decisions
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
- German language skills are highly desirable
