Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Surveyor to join our Commercial Consultancy team in London. As an Assistant Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in providing holistic, commercial advice to our clients, working closely with internal departments to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Building Surveyor's inspections and prepare reports to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Act as Contract Administrator and Employer's Agent on fit-out and refurbishment contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Negotiate schedules of dilapidations and prepare exit strategies to minimize liabilities for our clients.
- Assist with coordination of portfolio instructions and undertake other duties as required to support the team's objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external and internal clients, providing exceptional client service and ensuring their needs are met.
- Travel may be required to meet with clients and attend site visits.
Requirements
- Ability to work within a team and on own initiative, with strong verbal and numerical skills and excellent report writing abilities.
- Enthusiasm, proactivity, and self-motivation, with a strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a flexible approach to meet changing priorities.
- Well-presented and excellent communication skills, with a clean driving license.
- Working towards MRICS (building surveying) with proven experience, preferably in a commercial consultancy.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
