The Head of Project Management Office Role:

The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader with experience in effectively leading and motivating high-performing teams to deliver successful project outcomes. They will be accountable for guiding and motivating the PMO team in all areas of successful project management delivery. The Head of PMO will take full ownership of defining, documenting, and completing complex projects and change initiatives that benefit Migrant Help and its trading subsidiary.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management Governance: Provide overall project management governance across the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  2. Methodology Development and Adherence: Define and maintain the standard project management methodology and process, fostering best practices. Ensure project managers and teams adhere to the project methodology, disciplines, and approaches for consistency.
  3. Team Leadership and Talent Development: Provide overall leadership and management to the PMO team, ensuring they support and enhance project delivery. Develop the PMO team's skills and behaviors through coaching, mentoring, and training.
  4. Documentation and Guidance: Be accountable for all project documentation and work with the Quality team to ensure efficiencies and appropriate document control.
  5. Key Point of Contact: Act as the accountable owner for all active projects and program management queries, providing clear briefings to the Senior Leadership Team as required.
  6. Resource Management: Oversee project resourcing and pipeline management for efficient project allocation.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualifications in Project and/or Change Management.
  2. Project Management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, APM, Agile, other).
  3. Proven experience delivering projects and change management initiatives.
  4. Experience delivering high-quality service to diverse stakeholder groups.
  5. Experience measuring project performance and resource alignment.
  6. Experience identifying and mitigating project risks.
  7. Proficiency in forecasting, planning, and budgeting projects and change initiatives.
