Head of Culture and Heritage

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Head of Culture and Heritage. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our culture and heritage service, which includes an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation and several arts and heritage assets.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading culture, heritage, or creative programmes and will have a great understanding of the creative sector and its impact on residents' lives. They will be able to engage and communicate with clarity to build strong relationships with our community, funders, and stakeholders across both public and private spheres.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about connecting people with opportunities and delivering inclusive and sustainable services. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver results in a financially sustainable way and will be able to work closely with colleagues in public health and employment to ensure that opportunities in the sector can make real, positive change to many aspects of our residents' lives.
The post is offered as a full-time position, but we would consider offering it as 0.8 FTE for the right candidate. As part of our commitment to career development, internal applicants applying for this role will be provided with support on CVs/application and interviewing techniques.
