At Macfarlane Packaging, the leading packaging distributor in the UK, we are thrilled to announce an opening at our Coventry facility for a skilled Logistics Operative who will also perform occasional HGV driving duties (a valid Class 2 driving license is essential).

Role Overview:

As a vital member of our logistics team, the Logistics Operative will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately and punctually.

Your responsibilities will include a variety of warehouse tasks, such as operating forklifts and managing both incoming and outgoing goods. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including sales and purchasing.

In addition to warehouse duties, you will occasionally cover for our driving team during periods of absence, which may involve making customer deliveries within the local area.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive deliveries from suppliers, ensuring proper storage of goods.
  • Operate counterbalance forklifts to handle stock items.
  • Coordinate with the sales office to meet customer delivery schedules.
  • Adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Comply with the Company's ISO9001 and ISO14001 policies.
  • Occasional driving duties, including:
    • Making multiple customer deliveries in the local area (averaging 1-15 drops daily).
    • Driving Company HGV vehicles and operating equipment safely and professionally, in line with Company policies and legislation.
    • Loading your vehicle upon return and securing the load for safety (using forklifts, reach/counterbalance).
