Role Overview

Premier Group Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Staffordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical equipment for various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical equipment using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, and Creo.
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Contribute to the final assembly of products and create technical documentation.
  • Update 3D models and drawings, and input parts into the MRP system to create BOMs.
  • Check drawings for sign off and work collaboratively with a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects.
Requirements
  • HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of hydraulics, pipework, water treatment, or similar equipment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well alone and as part of a small team.
