Warehouse Operative - Day Shift

Salary: £27,534

Location: Wymondham

Job Overview:

Pin Point Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse Operative for a leading manufacturing organization located in Wymondham. This facility is part of a network of 17 locations across the UK, specializing in the management of both inbound and outbound document services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently loading and unloading products from transport vehicles, as well as relocating stock and mail items stored on pallets or in crates throughout the warehouse.
  • Organizing products in designated storage areas, adhering to inventory control protocols, and ensuring that loads are secured properly.
  • Managing the stacking of empty pallets and conducting daily equipment inspections, including recharging forklift batteries.
  • Assisting with manual loading and unloading of trucks when necessary, as well as performing various warehouse duties such as picking inventory and relocating it to the correct areas on the production floor, along with handling stock returns.
  • Additional tasks may involve collecting full bins, which can vary in size up to 660L, and transporting them to the designated disposal area.
  • Waste management duties may include compacting or baling shredded paper waste.
  • Basic computer skills are also required for this role.

Work Schedule:

  • Week 1: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, with contracted hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, totaling 11 hours per shift.
  • Week 2: Monday and Tuesday, with the same hours as above.

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • A valid counterbalance forklift license is required.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety regulations.
