BMSL Group Ltd is looking for a skilled Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our team, contributing to a high-profile nuclear energy initiative.
The successful candidate will be tasked with the design, development, and execution of electrical systems that adhere to rigorous safety and operational standards.
Primary Duties:
- Develop and engineer electrical systems and components tailored for nuclear energy initiatives.
- Create comprehensive engineering schematics, specifications, and calculations.
- Ensure all engineering designs align with applicable nuclear industry regulations and standards.
- Perform electrical system evaluations, including load flow analysis, short-circuit assessments, and protective device coordination studies.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil, and structural engineers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into broader project frameworks.
- Engage in design evaluations and offer technical insights and recommendations.
- Assist in the testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components.
- Identify and address technical challenges throughout the design and development phases.
- Stay informed about industry advancements, technologies, and regulatory changes.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, ideally within the nuclear sector.
- In-depth understanding of electrical design concepts, analytical methods, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in engineering design and analysis tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools).
- Familiarity with nuclear safety regulations and standards.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
