About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at Fluke. As a key member of our supplier quality management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability is consistently delivered by our suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality and process control plans at suppliers to detect issues early and ensure quality delivery.
- Assess vendor process capabilities and drive failure analysis and corrective action plans.
- Lead APQP/PPAP supplier flow-down activities in collaboration with Engineering and Supply Chain.
- Support first article qualification and approvals.
- Conduct DFMEA and PFMEA activities.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Travel up to 50% to support supplier audits and quality initiatives.
About Your Team
You will be part of a global team with members based in NA, China, and soon in UK and Malaysia. We are a dynamic and fast-paced organization that values collaboration and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- At least 10 years of experience in supplier quality and/or engineering-related areas.
- Advanced knowledge of ISO 9001/13485 preferred.
- Experience with Advanced Quality Engineering tools such as FMEA, GD&T, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and statistical sampling.
- Proven understanding of Six Sigma principles or Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Electronic knowledge and skills preferred (circuit schematic reading, PCA process, PCB process, LCD process, and electronic component knowledge).
- Understanding and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Hands-on approach/experience with manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of tools like MSA and PPAP.
- Experience in performing audits and driving corrective actions.
Personal Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and team-work approach.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience conducting technical reviews with senior leadership.
- Ownership/leadership mindset with experience achieving results with minimal supervision.
- German, French (or other EMEA) language skills a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work and delivering results.
