About Ashurst
Team Overview
The securitisation division at Ashurst is an integral part of our broader Global Markets team. This division collaborates closely with our debt capital markets, derivatives, and structured products teams.
Our expertise encompasses a wide range of securitisation types, including residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), auto loans, consumer credit, and both prime and non-performing assets. We also handle whole business securitisations, covered bonds, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), and trade receivables, addressing both true sale and synthetic structures.
Role Overview
In this position, you will primarily collaborate with partners based in London and across Europe, specializing in various structured finance transactions that span multiple asset classes.
Flexibility and enthusiasm for exploring new product areas are essential. This role provides exposure to a diverse array of clients, sectors, and financing techniques.
You will have the opportunity to engage with sponsors, arrangers, debt investors, corporates, banks, governmental entities, and credit enhancement providers.
Additionally, you will work closely with other departments within Ashurst, including corporate, restructuring, banking, financial regulatory, and tax.
Key Skills and Experience Required
- Prior experience in advising on structured finance transactions is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in drafting complex legal documents.
- Strong organizational skills and experience in managing transactions.
- A solid academic background.
- Excellent client relationship management skills and experience in business development.
- Confidence in negotiating commercial terms with counterparties.
- A collaborative team player who effectively engages with colleagues at all levels.
