Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement schedules, preparing detailed scope of works, and coordinating with sub-contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage procurement schedules for each project, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Prepare detailed scope of works, measured pricing schedules, and marked-up drawings for tendering to sub-contractors.
  • Analyze and negotiate contracts with sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Coordinate and agree cost implications with relevant parties, in accordance with contract terms.
  • Assist the Accounts team in reviewing and responding to queries related to sub-contractor payment applications.
  • Undertake sub-contractor procurement tasks, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent certification.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, current building regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
