Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing transport assessments and statements, travel plans, and technical data and drawings. They will also be required to undertake junction capacity assessments and liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport Assessments and Statements: Prepare transport assessments and statements to ensure compliance with UK transport planning standards and processes.
- Travel Plans: Prepare and coordinate travel plans to minimize the impact of transportation on the environment.
- Technical Data and Drawings: Prepare and present technical data and drawings to support transport planning projects.
- Junction Capacity Assessments: Undertake junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
- Liaison and Communication: Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team to deliver comprehensive advice to clients on highways and transport matters.

Requirements:
- Education: Degree in a relevant subject, such as transport planning, geography, or civil engineering.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in UK transport planning standards and processes.
- Professional Membership: Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT).
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Office: Advanced use of Microsoft Office software packages.
- AutoCAD: Good understanding of AutoCAD (desirable).
- Transport Planning Software: Working experience with ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG.

- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate findings from complex data.
