The Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Eastman, a global specialty materials company. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the site maintenance effort, carrying out routine maintenance activities, and utilizing machine shop skills to repair and inspect equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance activities, including repair and inspection of pumps, vessels, rotating equipment, and pipe systems.
  • Utilize machine shop skills, such as lathes, drills, and milling equipment, to repair and maintain equipment.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
Requirements
  • A time-served qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
