Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Manager to join our team in Cheshire. As a Bar Manager, you will be responsible for leading our bar team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily shift briefs and weekly bar meetings to discuss rotas, stocks, sales, and events
  • Effectively organize and run shifts as a duty manager, ensuring seamless service delivery
  • Monitor and drive Spend Per Head in your department, ensuring optimal revenue growth
  • Ensure all Bar consumables are kept to par and within budget spend, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
  • Take responsibility for all Bar stock control, including wastage, ordering, invoicing, stock levels, and maintenance
  • Ensure a two-week rota is available for the Bar team at all times, working a month in advance for forecast rota
  • Arrange all training sessions for new starters and existing staff to increase product knowledge
  • Regularly hold 1 to 1 reviews with each Bar team member to encourage career development and progression
  • Liaise with the General Manager for guidance and to communicate any training needs
  • Ensure team staff levels are assessed weekly and actively recruit if needed
  • Take a lead on all Bar recruitment, ensuring an excellent candidate experience throughout the process
  • Onboard new staff, including full restaurant training and all CPL compliance
  • Ensure your department has an up-to-date Talent Pipeline with training needs and succession plans
  • Ensure health checks are conducted once a month, with an action plan produced and delegated amongst the team
  • Ensure all Health & Safety policies are met, including legislative and licensing requirements
  • Undertake all bartender responsibilities where relevant or needed

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Team management experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks
  • A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgment and minimal direction
