McCormick & Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior R&D Technologist to join our team. This role will focus on leading product development initiatives for a key global customer account, driving innovation and ensuring the success of our products within their market.

As a Lead Food Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our culinary offerings. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to develop and implement new product concepts that meet customer needs and exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and improvement of products for a global customer account, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Translate business strategies into innovative product solutions, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer requirements.
  • Spearhead strategic projects focused on cost optimization, regulatory compliance, and process improvements within the R&D environment.
  • Ensure adherence to rigorous quality standards (HACCP/HARA) and lead internal audits to maintain operational excellence.
  • Engage with third-party suppliers, industry experts, and regulatory bodies to stay abreast of emerging technologies and market trends.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring their satisfaction.
Candidate Profile:
  • Possess a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience in the development of salad dressings, condiments, and sauces within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and concise interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the food development process, from concept to commercialization, including on-line plant trials.
  • Maintain a commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the ever-evolving food industry landscape.
