Fusion People Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior General Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating construction phase activities within our Project Teams.
Key Responsibilities- Create a safe working environment and coordinate site set-up with the Site Manager.
- Manage direct workforce, including foremen, gangers, and direct labor force, during the construction phase of projects.
- Deliver complex civil works and conduct daily ten-minute briefings and toolbox talks.
- Read and understand construction drawings, take accurate material take-offs, and write RAMS.
- Manage works to meet a program, ensuring the right resources are maintained for tasks.
- Participate in weekly program/progress meetings to advise on progress and resource deployment.
- Efficiently manage construction resources, including labor, plant, and materials, in line with budgets.
- Liaise with subcontractors to ensure efficient delivery of projects.
- Work across multiple projects simultaneously and identify discipline-specific technical issues.
- Develop direct reports to drive continuous improvement.
- Demonstrable experience in managing and working in a similar role in Water/Wastewater (minimum 5 years).
- ONC/HNC or NVQ 3 in a construction discipline, with a good understanding of engineering/construction principles and practices.
- SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid, and EUSR Water Hygiene training.
- Preferably confined space trained and Temporary Works Supervisor (CITB) certified.
- Demonstrable ability to motivate and manage people.
