Job Title: Senior Engineering Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead the build and commissioning of our nuclear reactor plant. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering lifecycle management and experience in the nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the build and commissioning of the nuclear reactor plant through innovative engineering solutions and problem-solving.
  • Ensure the maintenance of reactor plant design intent during the build and commissioning phases.
  • Support the assessment of plant design changes.
  • Assess plant build maturity for entry into subsequent build phases.
  • Provide technically sound challenges to existing requirements.
  • Write and present reports to communicate nuclear issues to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with MoD authorities, Naval Authorities, and assurance agencies to ensure technical solutions can be accepted and certified.
  • Lead the assessment and management of complex inter-domain or inter-function issues.
  • Technical approval of team outputs.
  • Represent the RTG and PAG.
  • Manage the WBTA Letter of Delegation.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified engineering or physical science discipline.
  • Knowledge of the nuclear industry and nuclear regulations.
  • Previous exposure to engineering lifecycle management.
  • Previous nuclear plant experience.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proven technical report writing skills.
  • Presentation skills.
