Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team at Pertemps Network Group. As a leading supply chain logistics provider, we offer ongoing work opportunities in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Local delivery and collection of automotive parts
  • Local sequence deliveries from manufacturing facilities into plants
  • Some distance deliveries to and from other suppliers/manufacturers
  • Typical start times between 05:00 - 07:00 on days
  • 8-10 hour shifts (Minimum 9 paid / Inc 1 hour Overtime)
  • No handball
  • Weekend work available at inflated pay rates
  • Sites based in Solihull & North Birmingham
Requirements:
  • At least 6 months C+E experience
  • No more than up to 6 points for minor offenses (No DDs, DRs or CDs)
  • Hold valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
Pay and Benefits:
  • HGV Class 1 Drivers PAYE rates of pay:
  • Monday to Friday days £14.24 per hour (Hours 06:00-18:00)
  • Overtime after 8 hours per shift between £24.92 per hour
  • Guaranteed 9 hours per shift (1 hour overtime daily)
Assessments:
  • Written test (Excellent knowledge of Driving hours, Tacho laws and Highway Code required)
  • Full site and safe systems of work induction
  • Vehicle familiarisation
  • Practical driving assessment
