Are you a skilled engineer looking for a challenging role in a dynamic environment?

We are seeking an experienced Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a large and reputable plant in Telford.

This is a full-time position with excellent employment benefits, including competitive holiday entitlement, sick pay, and contributory pension.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing breakdown cover on automated fast-moving equipment, as well as the service and repair of production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a manufacturing or production industry, with a strong background in electrical or mechanical maintenance.

They will be a team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm, able to work under pressure and be open-minded to learn new techniques and technology.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Continuous improvement of equipment
  2. Day-to-day attention to Electrical/Mechanical breakdowns and changeovers
  3. An active position in generating ideas for improvement
  4. Finding the root cause of any production problems and finding ways to prevent the problems happening again
  5. Electrical fault-finding
  6. Safe installation of machinery and control panels
