Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Role Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in both academic and social contexts.
  • Assist in modifying lesson plans and educational materials to cater to the varied learning requirements of SEN students, ensuring engagement and accessibility.
  • Guide and support SEN students in behavior management, fostering a nurturing and inclusive educational atmosphere.
  • Maintain consistent communication with parents and educators to monitor the progress and well-being of SEN students.
  • Encourage an inclusive school environment that appreciates diversity and celebrates the accomplishments of all students, irrespective of their abilities.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in effectively supporting SEN students.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of SEN students during all activities, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience working with children or young individuals in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behavior management techniques and their application within a school environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A patient and compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or psychology are advantageous.
