About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to join our team at Fitzwilliam Hospital, based in Peterborough. As a key member of our Catering department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food preparation, cooking, and service to our patients, staff, consultants, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet the dietary needs of our patients and staff.
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Manage and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to current health and hygiene regulations.
- Supervise and train junior staff members to ensure that they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that our food service meets the needs of our patients and staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum of level 2 Basic Food hygiene certification.
- Experience working as a Chef in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
