**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Serve Talent. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, supporting, and advising our business on all aspects of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments and identify opportunities to reduce risks
- Develop and implement safe operational procedures that take into account all relevant hazards
- Perform regular site inspections to ensure policies and procedures are being properly implemented
- Ensure that working practices are safe and compliant with relevant legislation
- Develop and implement health and safety strategies and internal policies
- Lead in-house training sessions with managers and employees on health and safety issues and risks
- Record and analyze inspection findings and produce reports suggesting improvements
- Record incidents and accidents and produce statistics for management
- Stay up-to-date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and industry developments
- Produce management reports, newsletters, and bulletins
- Ensure that equipment is installed safely
- Manage and organize the safe disposal of hazardous substances, such as asbestos
- Provide advice on specialist areas, including fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery, and occupational diseases
Requirements:
- Qualification in occupational health and safety, such as a master's, NVQ, BSC, or NEBOSH national diploma
- COSHH training
- Experience in providing advice to managers and supervisors
- Experience in handling H&S investigations
- Experience in formulating, implementing, and revising H&S policies and procedures
- Experience with ISO and TISAX certification requirements is advantageous
