Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to children and young people with disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized support plans.
  • Conduct assessments and reviews to ensure the needs of children and young people are met.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, young people, and their families, building trust and rapport.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and developments in disability support, ensuring the highest standards of care.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people with disabilities or adults with disabilities.
  • Understanding of confidentiality principles and boundaries.
  • Awareness of the impact of oppression and discrimination.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks and managing workload.
  • Diploma or NVQ in a childcare-related subject or willingness to work towards it.
