As a Teaching Assistant - SEN, you will play a crucial role in supporting children who require additional assistance in their learning journey. Many primary schools are currently facing challenges due to an increase in students with SEN requirements, and your expertise will be invaluable.

This particular primary school is looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their supportive team. Your ability to adapt to various SEN needs will be essential in creating an inclusive classroom environment.


Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with class teachers and experienced staff to provide tailored educational support.
  • Manage and respond to challenging behaviors, utilizing provided training and techniques.
  • Offer 1:1 support to students, adapting tasks to meet individual needs and interests.
  • Identify triggers related to trauma and mental health, providing alternative strategies to help students focus and calm down.

Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children (e.g., tutoring) is preferred.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English at a minimum grade of 4/C are required.
  • A degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Criminology is preferred but not mandatory.
  • SEN certifications are an advantage.

Additional Requirements:
  • A valid driving license is preferred.
