Job Summary:
PRS LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Operations Manager to lead our HVAP Data Centre team in Docklands. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre, managing resources, and driving a high-performance work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Manage and control manpower and resources/materials on a day-to-day basis to ensure effective and efficient completion of planned and reactive work.
- Performance Management: Motivate, engage, and drive a high-performance work environment by setting objectives and regularly reviewing performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Critical Facilities Maintenance Manager to ensure services are delivered in accordance with best practice processes and procedures.
- Sub-Contractor Management: Manage specialist sub-contractors on site, ensuring they comply with data centre rules and regulations, and perform to the requirement of the contract.
- Procedure Development: Ensure continuous development of the site's Emergency Operations Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Training and Development: Conduct site toolbox talks with the shift team and ensure Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, reviewed, and used for all tasks undertaken.
- Escalation: Be the first level of escalation for technical and non-technical issues for the shift engineering team.
- Equipment Management: Monitor and maintain equipment performance to ensure correct operation of the critical services of the Data Centres.
Requirements:
- 17th or 18th Edition certified (or comparable) electrical qualification, ideally electrical test & inspection.
- HND or similar in a relevant area (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services).
- L8 Legionella Management.
- Experience in facilities, operations, or engineering; in a Data Centre critical environment.
