Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Agricultural Business Consultant to join our team at Agricultural Recruitment Specialists. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert consultancy services to farming businesses, assisting with budget planning, grant applications, and agricultural schemes such as BPS, CSS, and SFI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement a 'value-added' approach throughout the business.
  • Identify and explore new market opportunities for products and services.
  • Assist with grant applications, BPS/CSS, and the new SFI scheme.
  • Manage budget and cashflow planning for clients.
  • Provide soil, manure, and nutrient planning consultancy.
  • Contribute to the management of membership benefits and services.
  • Act as the key point of contact for key clients.
  • Identify gaps in current client offerings and introduce new opportunities or skills.
  • Collaborate with the wider team and external clients to achieve business objectives.
  • Assist with ongoing projects and provide a range of consultancy services to farming businesses.

Requirements:

  • Experience in agricultural consultancy or a related field.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of grant applications and agricultural schemes like BPS/CSS and SFI.
  • Proficient in budget and cashflow planning.
  • Ability to contribute to soil, manure, and nutrient planning.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to a wide range of tasks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

What We Offer:

  • Up to £55,000 per year (DOE)
