Job Description

As a key member of the SGS Advisory Services Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and reviewing product packaging copy to ensure compliance with client requirements, EU and UK legislation, codes of practice, and industry guidelines.
  • Coordinating with clients, suppliers, design agencies, and print houses to ensure accurate and compliant product artwork.
  • Verifying product specifications against client requirements and ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to achieve compliance objectives.
  • Attending meetings with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to discuss compliance matters.
  • Providing expert advice on legislation, codes of practice, and industry guidelines.
  • Staying up-to-date on relevant legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines, news, and trends within the food and consumer products industry.

Requirements

  • Qualified to degree level or extensive experience in Regulatory Affairs or Product Quality Assurance.
  • Knowledge of UK and EU consumer protection legislation.
  • Ability to interpret and apply retailer corporate policy and UK/EU legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills for internal and external interactions.
