Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.

Additional Compensation: A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour applies from 8pm to 7am, Monday to Sunday (excludes sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour is applicable from 7am to 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

About the Facility: Gloucestershire House is a specially designed establishment, featuring six separate bungalows, catering to 36 adults with physical disabilities. This service has received an outstanding rating from CQC.

Role Overview: As a Registered Nurse with Leonard Cheshire, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing, clinical, and personal support to our clients as outlined in their Person Centred Plans. Your duties will include ordering and administering medications, ensuring their safe storage, and meticulously recording all relevant information in compliance with internal protocols and NMC guidelines.

In this role, you will effectively lead a team of support staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of each shift. You will prioritize tasks and delegate appropriate activities to the support team, ensuring that the needs of our clients are met within a safe and nurturing environment.

Your responsibilities will also encompass ongoing assessments, monitoring any changes in health and well-being. You will maintain accurate records in a timely manner and assist clients with physical care, personal hygiene, and daily activities.

Qualifications Required:

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of nursing theory and best practices at the qualified nurse level (level 5).
  • Understanding of the NMC code of conduct and relevant practice standards and guidelines.
  • Proficient nursing practice in all fundamental registered nurse procedures.
  • Flexibility to work scheduled hours and participate in an on-call rota as necessary.
