Position Overview:

Mativ is seeking a Commercial (B2B) Accounts Receivable Specialist to enhance our operations.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage in a crucial Accounts Receivable and Credit Control function within a vibrant company.

The successful candidate will be a proactive individual with a strong understanding of business dynamics, exceptional operational capabilities, and commercial credit expertise (B2B).

The ideal applicant will significantly influence by optimizing cash flow and enhancing operational efficiency in Accounts Receivable and Credit.

Additionally, they will collaborate with management to utilize customer credit insights to drive revenue and profit growth.

Manufacturing experience is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics to evaluate credit risks and formulate proactive strategies that align with Mativ's corporate objectives.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients and account teams to establish suitable credit terms while minimizing potential bad debt risks.
  • Management of Aged Receivables: Oversee the management of aged receivables and accounts receivable write-offs, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Enhancement of Credit Strategies: Continuously improve our credit strategies by applying industry best practices, aligning with sales initiatives, and integrating newly acquired entities into our credit framework.
  • Reporting Duties: Regularly present outstanding aged accounts to the Head of Global Credit, offering valuable insights through customer analytics.
  • Collaboration Efforts: Work closely with internal and external partners, including CFO, Controllers, Treasury, Sales, Service Delivery Managers, and Accounts Receivable teams to optimize cash collections, reduce AR aging, and mitigate bad debt exposure.
  • Collections Oversight: Ensure compliance with collection processes and proactively address related challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in French and German, both written and spoken.
  • Advanced expertise in collections, with a proven ability to convert accounts receivable into cash flow through various methods.
  • Strong background in Commercial (B2B) Credit; experience in manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Skilled in financial analysis, including the interpretation of balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and financial notes.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools such as D&B, Graydon, or Credit Risk Monitor.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Incoterms and related payment mechanisms, including Letters of Credit and Cash Against Documents (CAD).
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and knowledge of collections, credit, accounting, and finance principles.
  • Flexibility in dynamic work environments.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills across all management levels.
  • Proven capability to cultivate positive and profitable global business relationships with clients.
