NHS Education for Scotland (NES) serves as the National Health Board, dedicated to fostering sustainable advancements through workforce development, education, and training within the health and social care sectors across Scotland, while collaborating with partner organizations at the UK level.

We are seeking applications from seasoned General Practice Educators to contribute to the delivery of General Practice education and support within the Scotland Deanery.

The Associate Educator will play a vital role in the team responsible for implementing GP education initiatives within NES. Responsibilities include:

  • Development of educational activities and resources tailored for multiprofessional learners at various stages of their General Practice careers.
  • Participation in CPD Connect activities and Practice Based Small Group Learning (PBSGL) training.
  • Involvement in module development and GPST education.
  • Facilitation of simulation-based learning events.

This position entails 1 session per week, with a negotiable base location. However, the postholder may occasionally be required to work from NES offices. Candidates should possess a medical qualification with a background in Primary Care. A strong understanding of modern CPD methodologies, learning needs assessment, and evaluation of learning outcomes is essential. Reporting to the Assistant Director of General Practice Education, candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and organizational abilities.
