Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Glasgow and surrounding areas

Salary: £42 - £49K (inclusive of 1 hour/day travel, van fuel card, overtime, private healthcare, and van for personal use)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team at Excel Engineering Recruitment Ltd. As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repair on a wide range of commercial gas appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out PPM Schedules and meet set KPI Targets covering commercial sites, including communal living, student accommodation, care homes, and other commercial sites
  • Work on a 24-hour rota for emergency call-outs, with standby allowance paid and overtime rates applying (1 in 5/6) minimum of 4 or 8 hours paid at time and a half
  • Plenty of overtime available, with future prospects and progression opportunities, including training for OFTEC/LPG/COMCAT certifications

Requirements:

  • Recognized industry qualifications, including Gas Safe/ACS Commercial Gas
  • Good customer service skills, well-presented, and articulate
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults on commercial gas appliances
  • Experience of working on commercial gas maintenance contracts previously would be advantageous
  • Motivated and trustworthy
