Quality Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at Hunter Selection. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure continuous improvement in all production quality deliverables, including RPPM, CPPM, IPPM, SPPM, quality costs, customer product audits, and warranty/JD Power.
  • Resolve customer and internally identified quality issues using problem-solving methods, including 8D reports, problem-solving documents, PCAD, Kepner-Tregoe, etc.
  • Be competent in quality principles, including problem resolution/root cause analysis.
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits as required within the organization.
  • Support customer and third-party audits.
  • Support all internal departments with quality-related matters.
  • Read and understand/interpret engineering drawings.
  • Ensure all quality activities are performed according to BOS-, TS-, ISO 9000 standards and specific customer requirements.
  • Execute management representative duties, ensuring BOS processes are implemented and maintained, and promoting awareness of customer requirements throughout the plant.
  • Ensure timely response to customer issues, implement containment, and champion problem-solving.
  • Maintain local quality systems according to BOS, TS 16 949, ISO 9000 standards.
Requirements:
  • Experience working within automotive engineering.
  • Experience working within quality engineering roles.
  • Good communication skills.
